Anyone got any ideas on what this noise is and how to make it stop? Seems like it happens a lot more frequently when it's cold. I'm getting ready to do the steering play shaft fix, so was wondering if I could fix whatever this is when it's apart.

    It's a 2002 Taco

    Thanks!

best thing to do is take the covers off and find exactly where the noise is coming from. watch this video at 12:49. there's a white plastic ball joint you can see right away that most likely needs to get greased up. but of course there's bearings in there too.
