^^^^ Thanks for the info here & in my thread about the same problem ^^^^^

Yeah baseball cards in bicycle wheel spokes or wheel of fortune.
worse in the cold start mornings after sitting all night & chilly-er weather 20-40 degrees.
When the truck was new it wasn't doing this....
I bought it in Jan & have seen colder weather no popping
It has also happened during a 2 hour drive to visit my family at several stop lights/stop & go situations.
So the truck was warmed up.
Only at low speeds or cold at reverse .....

The dealer said the same thing.
    I did have it recorded.
    They couldn't replicate it.....
Told menext time to drive right over when it happens....yeah after 10 miles it goes away.....
or if its 5 am in the morning or 11 oclock at night or Sunday...
I might leave it there overnight & make sure they have to back up.....

Wow. I now understand the roar I hear at cold start-up. Additionally, after the idle slows, I can hear a thunk or the sound of a relay switch right before my roaring fan goes quiet.

At fast food drive throughs, I now understand why they cannot hear me through the speaker. My engine is hot with AC on and my cooling fan is on. I live in South Florida and I always used to think that I was born with a voice whose timber range was just hard to hear..especially at fast food drive through's. Life is better now for me. I turn off my a/c and most times, I am finally heard. My last dying breath will have to be heard somewhere else now. These clutch fans do roar loudly, and must really do a great job. I would never think to listen for it at a drive-thru though. Just one less birth defect I need to worry about. I have too much on my shoulders already. Whew. Thank you.. and thank you for your time.
