I have a 2005 tacoma trd sport. I live in az so its not to cold out right now but when its colder in the morning first start up there is a shaking noise coming from the passanger side of the truck you can hear it from under the dash the best, out side the vehicle not so good. I have looked for loose bolts, wires, heat sheilds under truck I have no idea what it could be. Does anyone else have this problem or have ran into it?

check your motor mounts. the 2005 tacomas had a problem with the motor mounts and they break. this happened to mine and the only place i know of that will fix it is DMZ in california. i had mine fixed by him and they are great.

Ok I'll check out the motor mounts. The noise doesn't happen again after the truck starts and runs for about 10-15 min. It's gone after the truck warms up. How do I check the motor mounts to see if they are bad?

Would you describe the noise as a metallic clack, different than the tapping normally associated with the 4.0 in these trucks?

If you were to unscrew a bolt on your seat brackets and wiggle your seat it sounds like that kind of noise.

get up under the truck an visually inspect them. or if you have someone start the engine while you have the hood up and either side of the engine jumps.
