    This video isn’t from our plant but we have a couple of the same machines, and they are gonna install a few more. We also have some different style ones and some old school machines where it’s more hand built/assembled. We built motorcycle, pass car and truck and semi tires.

    It's a tire patch, to the outside of the tire. Try not to run it on the front, in case of failure at high speeds. Other wise it should have usable life left. It's a common patch used by quality tire shops.

    That's looks identical to the patch plug that every reputable shop will use to repair a flat. When I worked in a tire shop, that is exactly what every repair would look like when complete.

    That is definitely a flat repair. The good news it is appears to be a correct repair, and will have no affect on the reliability, or longevity of the tire.
