That might be tough unless you use the (On) side as an input for something else to control the strobe. At that point you could probably use that something else (like a Switch-Pros) to handle it all (like an upper and lower button tied to the same lights with different functions)

Ahh, I get it now. Yeah, I think physically modifying an on/off/on or a double on/off might be your best bet. I’ve opened quite a few switches, but never looked into this exactly. I know it would be real easy to make an on/off a momentary, so I suspect it wouldn’t be much harder to do it with the other options.

May be useless, and I don't like the idea of it necessarily either, but get 2 switches and wire em together? one is a momentary one is a on off?

Possible, but then I'm taking up two slots for one lightbar. Sure, I can get more mods for more switch holes but... do I want to? Nah, not really.

I used to wire my ditch lights to the left accessory panel with the tall spot:
    IMG_5044.jpg

But that was kind of hard to reach for my driving style. left hand on wheel right hand resting on the side.. so I wired it and my rear amber chase lights to the side and used sticky velcro to both sides the truck and button:
personally much easier to press and this photo over exaggerates the visibility of the velcro. I don't notice it at all and if /when (because we all love adding things to our trucks) I add more lighting, I will just add more velcro.

lol, not something I would call a clean OEM level installation but I can definitely appreciate the ingenuity and "hold my beer" factor. Nicely done!

Yeah personally I of course liked the "oem" look of it being in the panel but Its more accessible for me and I like the looks. Guess it really only matters if I like it haha.

I drive through canyons at night and its pretty dark so I have to end up toggling it on and off cause I don't like to blind other cars and it was harder to reach on the left panel. Had to lean forward just an inch or so and I drive with my left hand or both hands... but that means taking my hand off then reaching and pushing then doing it again to shut it off. my right hand just rests near the buttons so I can easily push them.

definitely interested to see what you make out of this button situation and hopefully it works out. Just takes time and determination.

Maybe I need the switch to be more of an Off-On-(On) type layout to make it work?

Probably, but you'd still need something tied to (On) that increments each time it is pressed. I don't know nearly enough about 12v electronics to do that, though I can think of a couple ways to do that with an Arduino.

The lights just need a 12v pulse to change the strobe pattern. The lights will stay set to whatever the last strobe setting was selected until it sees any additional 12v pulses on that trigger.

So, I'm visualizing that it could work as switch Off is Off. Then toggle up to center On and lights come on doing whatever strobe pattern was last selected. Then, while still on, I toggle up to the momentary and hit it as many times as needed to find the strobe setting desired. Then leave it in the On setting for actual run.

What I should do is break out my bread board from college and hook up the LEDs and wire in some switches that I currently have on hand and see what works.

If it turns out that I need to run typical On-Off push button to operate the LEDs and a single mini momentary to pulse the 12v to the trigger, I guess that's how it goes?

I’d like to think my switch-pro is a pretty clean install. I used the cali-raised/meso left hand panel. This picture is from the install I’m currently in the middle of.

There have been a few people who have used the second button on Meso’s stealth shift knob to make a momentary for a light bar. That’s about as clean and oem looking as it gets.

As said earlier, Switch-Pro is definitely not what I'm on the hunt for. They are cool, no doubt about that, but not what I'm after.

Stick shift, and I've already upgraded my shift knob to something better than stock.

Hmm, maybe I'm under thinking it but I have all my lights triggered by the high beam circuit.
I can turn the switches on then flash them with the high beams if I wanted.
I can't think of a reason I would want all my brights on without my high beams, this also saves me if I do happen to run into someone on a dark snowy backroad and need to switch down without digging around for buttons. In fact I put a footswitch onto my Pros so I can kill them even faster.

    Some stuff
The “light blue” from aob is a much nicer match to the oem than the ch4x4 switch

I set my Yukon up that way, but it was only a pair of KC Daylighters. With a full lightbar I'd rather not have it kick on any time I'm trying to signal that an oncoming dipshit has their highs on, at least not at first.

What if you got one of the dual momentary switches from CH4X4, used the top switch as an on/off (latching relay) and the bottom as an interrupt to cycle through the modes? But that would definitely require some tinkering with relays and wiring, I'm not sure how I would do it myself.

ch4x4 switch means you have to have it turned on, plus high beams. You can flash headlights all you like.
