Hey everyone, so after installing my lift (Eibach Pro Truck Lift Stage 1) I had to get the ECGS and luckily that solved a lot of issues. Now I’ve been dealing with pretty rough ride quality in the front which is pretty odd considering a lot of people say the Eibach Kit rides better than stock. I feel like I can feel every single bump and imperfection in the road and over some larger bumps it feels like I am riding on bricks. I’ve made sure everything is torqued properly. Could this possibly be the UCAs since I still have the stock ones? I have the snap ring on the lowest setting so I don’t believe it could be anything to do with that.

Also, I have an Add a Leaf in the rear but I’m not sure that would make it feel harsher in the front as well.

Sometimes while driving it seems to just start bumping up and down as well but that could just be due to the horrible roads here. I feel like the new suspension kind of ruined the truck to be honest.

If anyone had any ideas on some possibly solutions or have experienced the same thing with your Eibach Pro Truck Lift Stage 1 all of the help is appreciated!

Sorry, forgot to mention I’ve also had multiple alignments. They aligned to factory spec each time.

Sounds like you have too heavy of springs

I’ve been trying to find the spring rate but can’t seem to find them anywhere. The part number on Eibach website is E30-82-069-02-20

Idk if people are just saying it as well because they have already spent the money on the kit, but I’ve seen some threads where it is being praised on how much better it is than stock, but I seem to be having a different experience. I thought this may be because of something else.

    I appreciate your help!

You are used to the cushy/soft trd off-road ride. All other aftermarket would ride firmer/stiffer than stock unless you have the fancy/high end/expensive ones

I honestly didn’t think it would be this stiff. Over some bumps it rattles the truck so bad you can hear the skid plate rattling outside. I remedied that by just bending the skid plate away from the lower control arm, but it still rides pretty rough. I may just have to switch it up and go with a different set up.

Thank you for the reassurance that it’s normal!

When I upgraded my suspension from the trd off-road setup to bilstein 6112’s, like you, I felt that I could feel every bump, crack, and whatever else in the road. It took a little while but after some use, they seemed to soften up or maybe I just got used to them? Idk. I too have some front skid plate rattle every now and then which is annoying. What load rating are your tires and what psi are they set at?

    A bunch..and no build thread!
Probably just the nature of the beast.

My truck is lifted and has steel bumper, winch, skids, etc. It needed the heavier springs.

When you mod your truck, things change.

Im planning on getting a Hybrid Bumper (Aluminum & Steel). Do you think I should tough it out until then and see where I like it with the weight on the front? I know heavy duty spring ride horrible until you get some weight I just wish I could find the spring rate for the pro truck lift springs to really compare them to others.

Thank you all for the help, if I think about it when I finally get a front bumper I’ll update the thread on how it’s riding after the install.

Yup, I was going to ask what PSI he is running and what ply tires (aka C rated, E rated, etc)?

Also you have to keep in mind what conditions people are talking about when they describe how their truck rides.. On road, off road, etc

I still have the stock 265/70/16 Goodyear Wranglers and keep them around 32-34 PSI. The only difference with wheels is that I have changed them out for 8 inch wheels so they are a bit wider. This is on road comfort, on dirt roads I mean it’s fine just a bit bumpy but honestly better than expected due to the poor on road feel.

It’s probably just shitty shock dampening

I installed the Pro-Truck Stage 2 kit last month. It is digressive, so it dampens quite quickly on initial suspension hit. Yes, it is firm. Compared to the TRD Sport suspension I swapped out, I felt a real improvement in ride quality and comfort. The Sport suspension felt like steel rods in place of the shocks. When you went over a pothole, the chassis went with the suspension, and then rattled the living shit out of you! When the rear hit some bumps the whole truck would jutter and shake. Now I feel the suspension do the work it is supposed to do.

I have no experience with an Off-Road, so I can not say how the suspensions differ. All I can say is that for me, after 4½ years of riding around with rocks for shocks, my truck feels so much better.

Also I believe the Springs are 620lbs.
