I'll give you the rundown. It would be nice to hear some feedback before I go into the dealer Tuesday and they try to suck the life blood out of me.

First off - as off last night, my CEL is off and issues appear fixed but that could be a fluke, all I did was replace the air intake filter and top off my fluids.

Here's the rundown if you can bear to read it (had originally written this up to help explain to the dealer what's going on....

    Background
Had frame replaced under recall at -dealer- in summer 2022. Brakes felt "off" from the second I pulled out of the lot. Convinced myself I was just not used to driving the truck since it had been sitting at -dealer- for quite a few weeks, maybe longer. Within a week, someone ahead slammed on their brakes and I rear-ended them (my steel up front absolutely WRECKED the nice lady's hatchback, both literally and figuratively, with minimal damage on my end aside from some pretty minor cosmetic stuff ) in what felt to me should have been a normal hard braking event - but ABS didn't kick, and truck didn’t come to a stop as quickly as I had been used to after driving many miles over 10 years. Had it towed to a trusted mechanic who claimed -dealer- didn't properly bleed my rear brakes or ABS, possibly lending credence to my thoughts that the brakes were acting weird. He claimed the bleeder valves were seized up so they couldn't have bled them just days prior. After fixing everything up he was gonna write a letter with his “findings” but never got around to it and life went on.

Also noticed atrac or something coming on when hitting certain turns at a fastish speed but chalked this up to new suspension components I had -dealer- put in while doing the frame replacement. These are turns I have taken hundred of times before with no issues, but just chalked this up to the new suspension.

    Recent Diagnostics

    P0333 - Knock Sensor 2 Circuit High Input (Bank 2) - ECU: ECM-Engine Control

    • Late June to Early August 2023 - Code popped w/CEL intermittently (on and off sometimes hours apart, sometimes days apart). Sometimes off at lunch, then back on at end of work. Then one day it stayed on permanently. And moved itself from “Pending” to “Permanent”. Everything was fine and normal for a while then truck started to feel super sluggish on the low end so I decided to bite the bullet and take it in.

    • 8/12/23 - Right before heading over to -dealer- I noticed the engine air filter had dry rot on the seals and was soot black across the filter surface, so as a last ditch effort before digging into the bay to find the knock sensor and harness, and to inspect for rodent damage etc, I replaced the filter. CEL light was off as soon as I pulled out of my driveway. Has not come back this morning either.

P1604 - Startability Malfunction - ECU: Cruise Control

    • 8/12/23 - Never noticed this one until I pulled the codes when the CEL came on for P0333. Cruise Control did not work when this was thrown. After P0333 went away, Cruise Control worked again. No idea if related.

C1231 - Low or High Power Supply Voltage - ECU: ABS/VSC/TRAC

    • Also not sure when this started but it was definitely before P0333 and P1604. I got used to seeing it every time I checked and presumed it wasn’t a huge deal. After the brake issues that may have caused a collision, perhaps it was more important than I thought. Maybe not.

So yeah, everything is allegedly running fine now, and truck is pulling normally again. But who knows if it'll stay that way, I didn't really do anything to fix it unless the air filter was seriously that dirty. I'd love if anyone has any insight I can bring to the dealer or look into myself. I'm comfortable working on whatever, just need to be steered in the right direction. Thanks y'all.
