What's up everyone. I have 2011 TRD Sport that I just got last week. I noticed when I take my foot of the gas and coast down a hill it feels like the brakes are being applied. Feels like the truck is being held back. It seems like its shifting into a lower gear. I have a friend who has a 2010 and has the same problem. He told me he just puts it in neutral and back into drive while coasting down a hill, I know there must be a better way then that. Anyone else have the same problem?

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to make sure it was normal. I wasn't used to that feeling so I wast sure if there was a problem.

Yep, normal like down shifting in a manual but a lot more subtle

    Mine does it.....
Took mine to Toyota to let them look at it.
The tech said it's normal, many others have complained about it.

I will say, mine does shift harder than any other Gen2 I have driven.
(and the tech at Toyota confirmed this normal also)

The trucks would be fine if they could get the TPMS light and shifts under control.
I don't care what I or any one else does, that frigin' light is going to come back on....

Mine does it also. I read in my manual, that engine breaking was while in 4 and under. Not drive. But I drove 3 new ones and they all did it.
