I can't pinpoint exactly the RPM or speed that this happens, but it's happened since it was new and I have about 26k miles on it now. Under light acceleration, typically getting onto a freeway I hear what sounds just like when you blow over the top of a bottle that has some water in the bottom. You know how you can fill up different bottles with varying amounts of water and then make music? It sounds like that! Any ideas? From the drivers seat it kinda seems like it's coming from the right front of the truck.

Kinda sounds like rear diff whine. That happens around 50-55 MPH under light acceleration or feathering the throttle.

It sounds like it's coming from the front, but I know it can be tricky to pinpoint sound location. If it was the diff would it go away after a second? It literally does the sound for about as long as you would blow over the top of a bottle once.

Yeah only when feathering or lightly accelerating at a small range of speeds. It could be the LCA that the other guy there posted but I thought they had that fixed by 2018.

Supposedly the 2017s were fixed? Mine have plugs over a couple of the holes, but I still get a kazoo. It is quiet enough that I don't mind it.

Yeah I've never had that on my 2017. It's something he can check though and some tape to confirm is easy enough to do.

Exactly. It has never bothered me enough to even grab the tape while I was under there. Nice, free fix though.
