Weird whining noise started after i went for a pull with my friend while on street, probably hit 5k revs in 3rd gear now this whining motor like noise is happening while idling and most noticeable when in 1st gear when you hit the gas from complete stop. plz help. Here’s the link for the sound > https://youtube.com/shorts/9REp63ydpOI?si=93dZFuV0DVn23cP9IMG_5937.jpg

Check your AC idler pulley. It's got a bolt head in the center that doesn't spin with the pulley but it will reverberate that nasty grinding/whining noise if the pulley is the source of the noise. You can just hold a screw driver on that bolt with the engine running and see if that's your source. I'm sure it's something up front (like a pulley, fan clutch, or belt issue).

Check your vacuum lines all over the engine.

I see what you're doing. Idler pulley is the gateway drug of the pulleys. He'll fix that and then notice the fan clutch, AC clutch, and all drive belts are bad, the area needs degreasing, the belts need to be tightened correctly this time, and is this a leak from the timing cover?... Then I replace my whole front end because I feel like there's a vibration somewhere.

I don't subscribe to the gateway drug hypothesis
