Installed Talon's shield on my 3rd Gen today along with an aluminum skid plate. I am not a good with a wrench so this was challenging for me and took 4.5 hours including set up and clean-up. Both required some man handling on my part to get things to line up but it all eventually fit.

Thanks to Shaun at Talon's Garage for corresponding with me via PM over the weekend while he was out camping(?).

I was looking for a complete skid package that I thought was available but now don't see. The front skid is also sold out so I guess business is good. I ordered the trans plate like an hour ago and already received a shipping confirmation! Honestly I didn't want to have to make this purchase but my local PD posted that CAT thefts are happening in my area and my lifted tacoma is def an easy target. So i'll at least have a little more peace of mind that I took extra measures to prevent that and now have extra protection for the mild off roading I do. From what research I've done, all the feedback seems positive and plate thickness of the Talon's Garage helped me in my decision. This thread was very helpful too so thanks everyone

 

Front Plates are going to go back in stock sometime this week. I need to check with the boos (My wife) on what we have on hand.

 

@Talon2006 Im local, Is there a chance i can meet you outside your Hoa? Really want to avoid 65$ of shipping and taxes. If not Ill go ahead and purchase online.

 

I wish, I can barely get out for lunch nowadays! My machine went down for a few hours last week and we are a little behind in getting stuff made, but still getting orders out quick! Depending on what you are going to order we can probably get it out today if its early enough.

 

Now I can sleep peacefully. I'd really like a matching front skid in the future. Thanks Mr. Talon.

Installed the cat guard on my 3rd gen today with no problems, thanks Talons! It was easier to put on than the TRD Pro plate I put on earlier this year.

Jesus, you guys weren't kidding about the fast shipping. I submitted my order at 1:58pm and got a shipping notice at 2:12pm. Thanks @Talon2006 ! what is your record for fastest shipping turnaround at this point? haha. Can't wait to put your shield on my taco!

 

For some of our Houston customers we have gotten their plates to them within 24 hours.

Generally my wife is fulfilling orders as fast as they come in. I am one of those who cannot live with holding on to customers money and not getting their product to them timely.

Granted I have still had people complain that it took 4 days for them to get their product from across the country!!! .

 

I ordered one for my 2nd Gen yesterday morning, looks like UPS must of picked it up last night, cause it's suppose to get delivered today. Course we're pretty much neighbors, since I'm in Dallas and your Houston, but that's pretty fast! Looks like you're out of the security hardware, the screws you ship out now, are those stainless or just a cad plate, zinc plate or something? Thanks!!

 

They are Zinc coated black oxide bolts. We get them custom zinc coated locally.

 

Got everything today, so thanks for the fast shipping!!! The plate looks good. It looks like you guys have the security hardware for sale now, I wish when I inquired about the security hardware yesterday, I'd known they were coming in stock today, I'd would of delayed a day. The thicker washers, those aren't a technical fit I'm assuming because they're shape is a bit off? Thank you.

 

I make the holes large enough they should be fine. Honestly, I typically would have tried to find a better set but sometimes it gets overlooked late in the day when it gets hot. We have a few guys helping us out now so I’ll talk to tnem.

that’s one of the little details we have struggled with… but needless to say… in a few weeks… things are about to drastically change on a lot of stuff!!!
