Always a sucker for a single cab Tacoma, always. Dig em big time, dig this truck. Liking that flat bed.

How ya like wheeling the single cab?

Oh man I love it. The wheelbase is amazing. It's only hurt me a few times. Being a standard kinda sucks sometimes as well but usually it's just a blast to wheel. Love every minute of it.

Hell yeah, got a few things of my own going on is why I ask. Check links below.

I see your doing 4.88s also. That gearing let you keep down on the skinny pedal a little? I know of an access cab 2.7 that has to give her a skinny pedal to get it sometimes, not sure the 2.7 is ideal for access cab, but for the Single cab...yummm. Ever considered going to 5.26?

I went 4.88s cause it was the lowest option for me at the time. Idk if they have 5.29s for the front now but back when I got em it was the only option. It works and is torque-y in 4lo. It drives great on the road. Still a 4cyl so it's not a racecar but it really isn't bad for being on 35s

I love the ratio so much that I'd get a crawlbox before regearing again cause I do love the highway manners of it.

Went out and flexed the taco after chopping the bed some(I'll finish it later and make it look decent again). While stuffing one tire on a ramp I got most of my numbers. I was measuring from the stock shock mounts to above the bed 4" cause it gave me the most even numbers. It's all relative but basically I came up with the fact that I need 4" bump stops and shocks 14"-16" shocks since I'm getting 12-13" of travel. I may get more droop in certain situations so I'm gonna allow some tolerances. Now to find some shocks that get close to what I need and start thinking of how to mount them

Probably gonna order these 16" shocks. It'll give me a little bit of allowance for forced travel on the trails

I also dovetailed the bed. I need to fill in where I cut out but it's gonna look decent when done
