Welding Drop brackets to truck?

    I have the RCD lift kit and was thinking about having the drop brackets welded to my truck...instead of just bolted (as they are now)

    My thinking is that this will make it stronger and obviously reduce/negate any shifting.

    would this prevent potential off road mishaps?

    Can anyone see a problem with this?

    King coilovers frt +3". Bilstein 5100 shocks rear w/AAL, K&N FIPK, Magnablow exhaust, Billet grill, clear corner lights, Sony stereo, JBL, Sub etc.
    I think if you are gonna run DB lift and actually use your truck, its a good idea. I'd use a combo of spot welds and the bolts per mfg (of course)

    what if it is in an accident and you need DB parts. I think welding it is a horrible idea.

    If youre in a bad enough accident, bolts & welds arent gonna make a difference in a wreck.....

    I 'had' a 6" DB lift. It was such a POS (Trailmaster), I got rid of it and went to stock with Kings. Im not an advocate for DB lifts (ANY brand), but I guess they serve well for some applications. Just sayin
