Water in tag lights 3 times, sluggish engine, shifting trans, 17-18 mpg, vibration when slowing to a stop, I had enough and traded. My 2012 was by far a better set up as far as motor and trans. Took a $6000 loss on trade in. Will not buy another toyota.

Those are sharp. Really like the white ones with the matched fenders.

I honestly think Toyota dropped the ball on the new 16, should have done a lot more research and checked their engineering before releasing it. But look here it is 2016 and they are still picking up the pieces from the poor engineering on the 2005 to 2015 Tacoma.

It is averaging 22 mpg, trans and motor so much smoother than the tacoma, got the Granite Gray with black wheels and black out badges. Will post a picture later. I like your 1500 considered trading for one but won't fit in garage.

I think it's crazy that they have the same issues. I'd be ok if they were different at least. It's shows they're at least trying

16's from what I am reading have a whole bunch of their own issues not related to the 2005-2015 Tacoma

The 3rd gen has some of the same issues as the 2nd gen as well as a slew of new ones.

I have experienced on my 16 the suspension squeak, wind noise, & excessive transmission noise (one occassion) Dealer pretty much told me nothing could be done right now at this time.

As others have begun to see with mods & analysis, the 16 is not all new from the ground up. It still has the same problems.

They're all gonna have the same saggy leaf springs and aren't they still having the needle bearing issue? Also entune turning on and off. That's all I can think of at the moment.
