I know you guys that own the TRD Sports don't care, but maybe some of your O/R guys can appreciate it. I debadged the truck about two months ago, picked up a color matched grille about one month ago, and met up with a guy who owns an MGM Sport last night that wanted to swap bumpers. I'm officially chrome free!

(I also trimmed the rear mud flaps because I was tired of dragging them, but still wanted to minimize throwing rocks on cars behind me. See next pic for example of nearly breaking them.)

Pretty pumped that I got to do a clean trade for my bumper with this guy.

    very nice!

I plasti dipped my emblems like 2 weeks after getting my truck and they have held up great. i did my rear bumper last year, and it started pealing. I pulled it all off the other day, and picked up some rustoleum truck bed liner and am going to redo the bumper. only thing i have is the grill and idk i think i may color match it.

i don’t how it looks yet, have not had time to do it. i think it is kinda textured like the plastic on the bed side caps or what ever. but i don’t really know. I do see that a little rust is wanting to come thru the chrome so i got to try and clean that up as well.. may get some rubber undercoating and do the back side of the bumper and hitch so it does not rust.

    Anti-chromites unite!!

Pretty much did the same things to my SR5, I also switched the door handles and switched to aftermarket taillights to remove the chrome daisy in 'em, but didn't go to the expense of the mirrors.

The undercoating rust preventative. I could be completely wrong, I had just heard that it didn't work. Has it worked for you?

for sure, i mean it still scrapes off when you touch rocks but it definatley works. the problem is that it never fully dries so dirt kind of sticks to it, but it gives good coverage around all the body work seams and stuff. im sure it also helps a little with road noise because it's put on very thick. the fluid film works very well also!! just apply once a month

No... It is a product called "Speedliner". I used to paint on my off days with a couple of other guys from the F.D. and we bought into the company. It is basically the same thing as Rhino Liner (and just easier if I say that because everyone knows what that is). It comes in gallon containers and can be sprayed with a "hopper gun" or a HVLP for a lighter texture. I use my HVLP and adjust the texture with the gun and the distance from the surface being sprayed. It last forever and never fades. I painted my grill, lower valance, and the inside of the BHLM with it also.

If I would have been thinking I would have painted my N-Fab bar also but I was too anxious to put it on the truck. I usually only spray when I have enough to justify spraying because it sets up quick and I don't want to waste it because each gallon is expensive.
