Pretty funny. My first car came with a statue on the dash, it became known as the “Our Lady of the Bleeding Master Cylinder” and she kept my brakes from dieing altogether, until she was replaced and I then I had my first case of brake failure - at a stop light at the bottom of a hill... that was fun.

I saw nothing wrong with those crash tests, even the side impact one looked great apart from the lack of full curtains, and that is probably the only reason why it could possibly score low. I didn’t watch the whole video, that dude is a complete tool.

Wranglers have been earning shitty crash test ratings for years. I'm still member of the Jeep Forums and it's a little painful watching people try to repeatedly rationalize the abysmal performance of these cars in crash tests.

I had TWO new Jeeps "back in the day". (5 Toyota's since) They were CJ's from the 70's and 80's. Roll-over hazards..... You buy that sort of utility vehicle, you agree to drive something that isn't as safe as Uncle Fred's Volvo....

That said, there's a reason why I won't buy another Jeep. If they don't hurt you, they kill your wallet. At least I now own some really nice tools because of my days with Jeeps....

He has a very valid point that is otherwise lost in his overpowering douchebaggery. I think the FCA should take cabin safety a little more seriously in the future.

That said, I guess some of us just like to live on the edge...

Come on guys.... look at what a jeep is. It's not a camry or mini van. The things didn't have hard tops and the doors are removable.

Yeah, me too. A 73 CJ-5 I bought new for $3500! I too learned a lot about off-roading and field repair, although I had very little trouble with that American Motors Jeep (6 Toyota's since). When I think back, I can't believe the technological improvements since 1973.
