I've seen seat backs give way like that before. Not sure if it's by design or not.

Just a quick glance they will most likely fix it.

I got hit by a E350 and it did 8k$ damage, if they had to replace the frame it would have put it at 13kish.

Looks like your frame might be ok just from pics,

Replace the bed, pull the dents from the cab. No idea about the front can't see any damage.

    More pics.

Edit did you have a passenger? Were they wearing their seat belt? What happened to the windshield?

Did you get checked out? Whiplash is a bitch my wife had it when we got hit.

The pictures you really can't see some of the damages it looks worse in person...
The grilled guard on the front saved the front end. I might need a new bumper and driver side headlights..

The windshield is cracked on the passenger side. In the picture that us the bugs windshield on mine.

I did have a passenger we both had seat belts on.

It happened on the 75/24 split. So it couldn't get over so it stopped right in the middle of the interstate

omg you are kidding me! wtf is wrong with people? only thing worse i have seen is people actually back up to try to get to the off ramp. in my opinion, people should go to jail for doing shit like that. it could get someone killed.

op, sorry about your truck. i am really glad you are ok. at the end of the day you can get a new truck. a new you, a little harder to do.

it seems like we could almost have a separate section at TW for accidents/wrecks. seems like another wave of them going on right now.

Ok, get more pics and I can try and judge it more for you.

I've been looking into a lot of body shop repairs. When I had mine fixed, I was amazed by everything and tried to learn as much as I could.

Anyway if the repair is 75% of the cost of the vehicle, they will most likely total it.

If they DO do a frame swap, (most people say if the frame is bent they total it, well I disagree. As they were going to replace mine, it just depends on the damage).

If they do a frame swap your looking at a easy 8k for the frame, 2-3k to swap it. 6-8 weeks for the frame to get there (thats a rental car for 6-8 weeks AT LEAST).

The bed was roughly 3-4k I think. The rear bumper was 500ish, the hitch is around 300-1400!!!

Tail lights 100 a piece, tail gate was 2-300

you can always negotiate parts off your truck with insurance companies. pretty much, if it is totaled, they will give you retail value for the stock truck and you can keep your add-ons if you want. if you decide that you are gonna get a different brand truck you can negotiate price and sell the parts with the truck.

that's what i did with my last totaled truck.

I didnt get much for my accessories when I lost my prerunner (RIP). Moneywise, you might make out better swapping wheels and removing other accessories.

Make sure you atleast tell the insurance company if you were at all sore from the accident and go get yourself checked out. I had a Ford Excursion pull out in front of me and totaled my old car. I had a bruised shoulder from the seatbelt and very minor burn on my arm from the airbag. The insurance company called right away to try and settle for the injury claim. I never thought about it before, but even soft tissue (bruising) damage is worthy of a claim. I struggled with this at first because I felt I was fine other than being a little sore, but was convinced by my doctor that soft tissue damage is an injury and I should be compensated for it.
