I traded in the Taco on Monday for a Focus RS. I traded in a 370Z for the Taco and I have since missed my speed. I loved this community for all the information it has provided and the fellow smart asses to boot. Not salty at all and will miss this forum and all the shenanigans that generally ensues.

    Enjoy that RS.

I've enjoyed the exhaust note when I've seen them out and about.

Honda should take some styling hints. Hahaha!

What was the buying experience like on the RS? Hard to find? Did they come off MSRP at all? Is a cool car but is pricey for what it is.

Enjoy! I went the other way and sold my RS for the taco. The RS is a really fun car!

Enjoy the RS! You'll miss the Taco every time you hit a curb or speed bump.

Check out the Ranger Raptor in 2019. It's expected to use the same engine as the RS.

Cement RS to Cement Taco? I like the cut of your jib.

That's a great color on both.

cool OP, actually when choosing my last vehicle it was squarely between this Tacoma MT and a Focus RS i found in DFW. i chose the Taco for the utility and durability, glad i did after the gasket fiasco, but i sometimes do indeed miss getting stopped by cops twice a day.

enjoy the RS! i'm sure you will..

Did Ford finally fix the headgasket issue so you don't get a hydrolocked engine from coolant?

Remember when a high end focus was 8k brand new?

I’ll never forget. I can’t take this car seriously.

I traded a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 for a 2016 Explorer that I then traded on my TACO, I also miss the stang a lot, maybe when I retire but by then, I want a Z06 or ZR1...lol

    good luck and be careful..

I'm fairly certain the lead engineer behind the Type-R asked his 12 year old son, who has watched too much The Fast and the Furious, what he would like and they ran with it.

It was very straight forward. I found it on AutoTrader, albeit I had to look in a rather large radius from me being 500 miles to be exact. It's a RS2 package with 600A equipment package and was marked from Ford at $41,998 to $34,999. It was a left over in Florida that they were just trying to move. I feel being mid 30,000's is very acceptable, considering used ones of the same year are being priced for more than what I paid for it.

    :*(

I will likely own another in the future but for now, I'll stick with my go-fast. :p

It really is a blast man.

    1. No where near what I paid for it.

    2. I agree, seems a BIT much but it is comparable in price to the WRX STi, which is it's direct competitor.

Eh, had a Z for a year and never curbed it. I think I'll be fine.

    Danke

I already do but the good news is that gasket fiasco only affected early production 2016 MY RS's. There are several articles talking about it and it wasn't as much as an engineering issue as it was a logistics blunder on Ford's part. If the guys had followed QC procedures it SHOULD have been caught but that is neither here nor there.

Yeah I agree mid 30s is much more reasonable. Enjoy!
