    Hi Guys,

I replaced my diff via the TSB a few months ago and it started a similar but more constant hum not 30 days after..

I took it in this week and they say I need the ECG bushings via RSG.. Which I am ok with..

But When I lifted my FjCrusier.. no issues, lifted the 2001 Landcruiser no issues (but did do the diff drop)

So Sounds like the ECG bushings will help.

    Open to thoughts....

Also, I leased it and it is up next month... Super easy to buy, which I did via my Credit Union but via the dealership... They really try to hammer you on the extended warranty.. I kept saying no, and at 2200.00 I bit. started out at 3988.00.. Anyway, it was more piece of mind for me and 2200.00 was very close to my thought of "is it worth it"....

My stock Taco has had the diff vibes, both steady and oscillating since essentially new. It has stayed very slight though.

Have you tried putting it in 4x4 and driving in a straight line on paved surface? If the Vibe goes away while 4x4 is engaged it's almost definitely the needle bearing and the ECGS bushing should help. It worked perfect for me. Installing the bushing is straight forward with the ECGS puller tool. I recommend just removing the whole spindle to make installing the bushing easier.

Also the "diff drop" does nothing but reduce ground clearance, gear oiling and increase potential for catastrophic failure :D:eek:

Yes, RSG has a great price to do the ECGS, so I am headed there next week. I am going to let them handle the install. I heard the same on the diff drop, so not doing that. Really appreciate the thoughts, It's good to hear that I can get it taken care of.
