You were correct. I think I was just stressing for the hell of it.

Got my parts installed though. Lots of brake bleeding in my future. Also think I need to grease them. They sounded pretty crunchy when I moved the truck earlier today.

That’s a wrap for this project. Still lots left to do but it’s safe to drive and road worthy again. Complete suspension and front end rebuild. Paint and body is next!

So, I've been reading this entire thread from the beginning and I was curious, if anyone ever tried using LOWERING shackles the lower the rear of the truck? I just installed my Deaver J59 (1.5" lift) and now my rear sits higher than the front.
I have FOX 2.5 coil-overs with DSC in the front and I like the height it sits now. I'm not sure if I should adjust them to get the front end higher OR installed lowering shackles to level the truck out.

Now, if I adjust my coil-overs higher to level my truck, will i get a stiffer ride?

Also, I hear people saying to put weight in the rear with Dakar leafs and it should settle the leafs out. If that's the case, has anyone experience this with Deavers?

@jonesbt which coils did you get? I think I'm gonna swap my 880s for 881s eventually.

I bought the 883s. Plan to attempt to weld up a plate bumper some time over the next couple of years so I went ahead and bought a stiffer spring. Getting an alignment on Wednesday so I can’t tell you how any of it performs on the road yet. You aren’t liking the 880s?

They ride fine, but if my dakars don't settle at least a full inch the rake is excessive. I plan on doing a bumper someday as well... Might end up trying all the coils till I find what I like. It's hard to gauge lift with the regular cabs since they aren't as common.
