Some very big overhead fans might be needed to circulate all that air in the summer and winter.

Nice shop I'd love to have the space for something like that in the future though I would need to separate places one for metal/car work and the other for woodworking. wood doesn't like welding sparks.

Winter has pretty well slammed on the brakes. Just in time for xmas and I need time to get some more cash together. I'll start drilling holes and wiring the panel and outlets over the winter. I need another $10K for concrete  I will be putting in three commercial ceiling fans and a reznor heater for next year. 8" of insulation in the walls and 18" in the ceiling. Steel liner panel then start to move in. For now it's dried in, stone floor, and the camper and boat are inside which is better than paying storage. I guess

Pretty quiet... Northern Ohio winter has set in. The building shell is done, the underground is in as well as the footer tiles and the stone is up to grade. The floor is within a few inches and will be ready for pour this summer. I have to scare up some more cash to go much further. $12k in concrete work is next. Electrical water and gas need run in and then insulate and interior. On the good side, the camper, boat and toys are at least out of the weather. I hesitate to move anything in because it will need taken out to continue. This is the curse of paying cash, I have to do it in steps.

Took me five years to pull the trigger, finally got somewhere. "I kept saying next year"...I should have been saying "I don't care if it costs $4000 more".

The floor is poured... 6" over 2" of foam with plastic, and heavy wire mesh. 8 zones of radiant floor tubing. The gas water and electric are run from house to the shop. 200A service panel is mounted. Three 12' floor drains are in there as well. I have to swap the meter base on the house to turn on the barn. It's hard because I also have multiple rentals. I have done a major gut and total remodel on a new (to me) rental. There is only so much cash... The rentals make money, the shop costs money :(. I think we all know which one gets priority. I've waited this long... At least everything is inside, dry, and secure LOL!

I didn't start a thread on garage journal... I am in the process of wiring everything at night in my spare time with my extra money LOL... I'll let you guess on how that's going. Actually I am almost done with a total remodel on house #4 in my rentals. I have been at that for 13 months. It has been insane. Once that is done and rented then we will be wiring and insulating. I scored 20' of old bowling alley for my benches. The utilities are all there, it needs my lazy ass to finish it.

The housing market in my area has gone stupid... The only deals on a house are the ones that the bank won't lend on. When prices are high I end up with gut jobs. When the market is weak I was able to get pretty decent homes. This one was more the neighborhood than the house. I have literally had people try to buy it before it is done. I get at least two people a week stop by and try to rent it. I try to add a house every two years. This one was bad but I literally got it for nothing.
