Lesson learned may be to stick with your usual shop?

It may not have wound up being any faster, but at least they told you it would take some time...........

Yeah, plus they wouldn't have tried to bullshit me about how much they have to do. "Oh we have to take apart the fuse box to get the fuse panel out..." like it's the freaking hardest thing in the world. I know my truck. I know it's not that difficult, so don't make it sound like it'll take 3 hours to do just because I'm a woman. And yes, that's the feeling I'm getting from them on this, since the only women I've seen there are old ladies and moms with kids who don't look like they've lifted a hood in their life.

And they called... It's done!!! Finally. So my friend (who also drives a 1st gen Taco, I might add) is on his way from Reno to give me a ride to the stealership. Will post final cost when I get done just in case anyone wants to know how much me dropping a pair of pliers is going to set me back.

Edit because I can't spell when I'm excited or upset lol

I'll take a guess... Your invoice will be almost $300.

Any others wanna predict a cost? :)

Well, I do have the original work order which states the promised time was 10:30 yesterday, so there's a chance I can get it at least knocked down a bit lol

Its a stupid pain in the ass to change those fuses. I have no idea why they make it so hard to access them.

They don't give loaner cars here. I could probably have gotten a rental, since they offer those, but why give them more of my money when it was supposed to take only a couple hours?

Anyway, here it is guys... The towing was $60 to the stealership, but I'm not counting that...

Grand total for work performed = $150.48

You would think for $210.48 they could give you a loaner. I've never had work performed at a stealership (GM and Toyota) that didn't include a loaner. And I hate taking any vehicle to the stealership. Maybe that's just the way we roll in the midwest.
But in the end you got your truck fixed and lesson learned for all of us:cheers:
