You will be mad at yourself if you get an automatic. The pros are awesome but I say save the money buy a trd off road with a MT and do the mods yourself

I wonder what the sales numbers are for manuals. Manuals seem to sit on the lot a bit longer than autos around here. Our dealer currently has two Cavalry Blue TRD Pros and both are MT. They’ve been on the lot awhile and now they have an AT Voodoo Blue Pro. People just don’t seem to be as interested in a manual in this area for some reason. I wouldn’t mind having a manual, but I have a bad ankle so it’s not really an option for me. I imagine it’s pretty fun though.

Good luck OP! Hopefully you’ll find your Voodoo Blue MT. I wouldn’t give up on it just yet.

I agree to a point since Ford isn't really knocking it out of the park with major optipns. One motor and onw transmission with the same old cab and bed configs. I see nothing special except the very base model looks good, esp in blue. I heppy with my decision. I'd love to hear from my ex-coworker who was waiting on one.

I sympathize with your problem. I tried to order a ‘19 pro and the dealer in the SE Toyota region said I could not even order one as a “sold order.” Also said the dealer had to “earn” their allocation of a pro, which I read as this dealer doesn’t sell enough cars to even warrant a pro allocation. Frustrating.

golly gee..........when i was a child in the 50's and early 60's, almost all trucks came with MT.......what has happened?

it seems for manufacturers it just easy to make cars and trucks they way they want.......its a pain in the ass for them to "customize"....thats why it is hard to get what you really want sometimes...especially close to change-over

Go to Toyota Truck Master, a real title, Dean Mahalati at Toyota West in Columbus Ohio.
I live in Houston. Have a sales friend at Houston McHaik Toyota. Ordered my 2016 TRD OR Dbl cab from Dean since he was $3500 cheaper than anyone else in Texas including my personal friend.
Harvey totaled my 2016. Same story, bought 2017 again for $3500 off MSRP.
He found the 2017 in production and was able to get it allocated to him.
He’s known on this forum too.
Call him and see what he can do.

I am interested in the color Voodoo Blue above anything. I could easily buy a MT off-road in about 4 different colors. Which I may end up doing... Color option #2 is Cavalry Blue. Color option #3 is Cement.

The big draw on the Pro is the color. I LOVE Voodoo Blue. Maybe even enough to get an auto... but probably not. I may even wait till next year and see if they release the color to the off-road and sport.

    Exactly

    Maybe...

Thanks for all the comments. I have seen some good comments and some not so good lol...

So to recap, I like the color, that is reason number 1 for why I was ordering this particular truck.

Reason number 2 was because I don't want to do suspension mods. I wanted something I could leave stock and be happy with it. The pro suspension did that for me.

If I get an OR or Sport, that eliminates not doing suspension, but opens options for more custom suspension. I would also not get the color I want so now there are more items on the do not want list. :(

Finally number 3 is... I DO NOT want a snorkel and removing the snorkel is not an option. So the truck I get needs to be a no snorkel truck. Seems like many of the 2019 MT Pros available have the snorkel which sucks.

Bottom line the 2019 snorkel-less Pro in the Voodoo Blue color with a manual trans is what I wanted. I am still trying to get one. There are a couple out there, getting one for the price I was looking at is gonna be tough going outside of Texas. I do have a budget and need to stick to it. As well...

What are you driving now? Is this an immediate need? One will turn up. You live in the city they are made in. Make a sign and camp at the factory gate. :D

I get the struggle for sure. I've gone to 3 different dealerships to try and get the exact trim/color/packages I wanted. It's a bit harder when you're firm and know what you want, but don't settle. If you're going to pay that much for something, make sure it's 100% what you want. Sorry to hear about your deal falling through, but perhaps it was for a reason. Keep searching, something will pop up
