Well I got some bad news today about my Taco order...

Nope, not an immediate need. I will find what I want one way or another just pisses me off that I can't just order what I want and not get the run around by the dealers/distributor etc.

 

Im late to the party but I was having service done 2 weeks ago and there was a blue pro on the lot that was MT. I was checking it out while I waited. Stamford toyota Stamford CT. Have your dealer call them, see if they'll do a swap.

I don't think it will be permanent. When I was looking at the new tacomas, the only ones you could get in MT were the 4 door models on either the sport or the off road. I WANTED an MT access sport. Now they have them. The reason i went with a 4runner was if I was gonna be forced to drive an AT, I wanted the the older reliable one, not the new one. I think if you wait a bit you'll find them. Also, I went on the toyota build site and it said I could build an MT pro. Maybe it geographics. I live in CT.

 

Toyota.com let me build one too, without the snorkle. I am in the same state as the OP and the Gulf States Region. That means there is one in inventory somewhere and it might be sitting in a GST staging area, also called the port.

If the OP wants a referral to my salesman, Jeff will be able to tell you where it’s at and whether he can get it for you. I doubt he can because he’s at a small dealer south of Ft. Worth. But you never know. Five minute phone call is worth trying.
