    The classic Toyota buckle!
I was in a Camry and got hit by a Chevy truck and the rear end looked the exact same as the Avalon you hit. The Damage was about 7k and they almost ended up totaling the car. Dam truck looked perfectly fine other then the stupid license plate. Looks like your truck didn’t fair as well.

Man I feel bad for you, I have almost done the same thing countless times. Its always the idiots behind me that freak me out especially after being plowed into by that Chevy driver going 45-50 mph while I’m at dead stop.

Shit happens though and everything’s fine so try not to beat yourself up over this.

Damn that sucks but glad you are ok and the truck wasn't damaged any more than it was. Between 288, 610 and 59 I know it's just a matter of time for it to happen to me.

I am glad that you and your truck are ok. But didn't you read in the fine print when you took ownership of your Taco? "I do agree by no fault of my own to bring damage to another Toyota, but it is ok to take out any other brand that gets in my damn way!"

You screwed that Avalon up good. They are made to crumple to absorb the impact and not pass it forward to the passenger compartment. The reason I know this is on Deb 8th 2007 a Land Rover Discovery hit my 2001 Avalon XLS that my wife was driving. She was on a 45mph road coming to a stop at a stoplight. He hit her at 45+ mph and if you can picture a 4500# Land Rover tearing the trunk almost completely off the Avalon and totaling the Avalon and Land Rover, that is the sight I walked up to. He hit her so hard it broke his seat bolt and rammed his shifter up through his console. Neither car's airbag deployed! The only thing that saved my wife's life was that Avalon crumpling as designed to protect her. Except for the rear windshield glass in the back seat, the interior looked like nothing had happened. So today she drives a 2002 Avalon XLS and I have total faith in that care protecting my precious cargo.

bw8 can suck major balls at times. your side of bw was originally jus 2 lanes nice. you still came out pretty clean though with min damage. explain how you did not get a failure to control speed since you clearly were responsible. ow well ive done the same shit. in in that case does the officer write a "no fault " incident ? if so whos gona pay for that beat up corrola and what will it do to your premium.

The officer explained to me that I was not getting a ticket because both my story and the other drivers story matched and there was no statement of me driving like an ass so I was not neglagent. However he said he still has to put the "failure to control speed" in his report and I am still at fault therefore my insurance will be paying for the damages. The officer was actually really cool about it and said he knows shit happens lol
