Wow crazy. Just saw this happen with a 2018 KIA. Defective high pressure fuel pump, was parked in the owners garage and took the whole house with it.

That's why it's always important to use a fire rated door from the garage into the house, and sheetrock 100% of the garage as well. It's been code in my area for a long time.

Years ago a family member used a space heater in the garage left and came home to a garage on fire. Flames literally shooting out the bottom of the garage, nothing happened inside the house (except smoke). Dogs in the house were both fine.. The heater was recalled for automatically starting on its own, but we didn't know. Moral of the story, always sheetrock the garage and use a fire rated door.

Glad you made it out. Tundra is a great truck I had one. I thought I needed a full size but honestly missed the Tacoma. Ended up in a 4Runner though!

I think based on the loss of brake power the cause was a failed front brake line.

On a lifted Tacoma, is there the possibility of stock front brake lines becoming over flexed/stressed? Brake line ruptures, brake fluid hits something hot, this would cause both the loss of brake power and the fire. The first things I would check are the front brake lines.

A related thought is a brake line might have been damaged or stretched/weakened during the installation of the lift. However these lines will be all burned away now.

We had a Lincoln towncar catch fire in a garage in our neighborhood. Garage was a total loss, but it looked like insurance fought over it for a while because it just sat and sat.

Apparently town cars like to burn.

Well, not sure if insurance did an investigation or not... They did cut a check tho, pretty good sized one. Not sure where to go from now tho, might get a used crown vic and save the rest for rainy days (aka college)

I don't like DI. This is why I stay away from high pressure fueling systems.
