That's a solid car fire for sure. Good luck OP with new truck.

Lol because he’s thinking he wants a full sized? If my truck burnt the the ground tomorrow I would go back to a full sized. Why would he burn his truck down while driving, leaving his personal belongings in the truck....?

Yep surly an insurance scam :der::jerkoff:

I tend to pick the long shot, so I'm betting on rogue squirrel as the cause.

Also, fire extinguishers are strictly for stopping small fires before they become big fires, guys. I sure as hell hope none of y'all are staring at an engine blaze with a two-pounder ABC and sayin' "I got this." :hattip:

Best of luck, OP, the next truck is gonna be bitchin I'm sure.

It’s a great idea... except, it’s my first car, my baby, less than a week before my sisters wedding and the start of a new job... All times when I would need my only means of transportation the most. Also, I would have better prepared instead of panicking and having to get caught stuck in an inferno (no pun intended). It’s not like how the movies make it out to be. Ya I laugh and joke about it with my friends, but it’s just how I cope with the fact that I could’ve been much seriously injured or killed. Again, nice of you to entertain the idea that I’d be too lazy to just drive to the nearest CarMax

WOW, first glad you are ok OP. Secondly, I have responded to a few car fires from old POS to a brandy new GMC Terrain.... Unfortunately, us hose humpers rarely get to hear the reason and simply speculate. Overall, no bodily harm and all that materialistic stuff is replaceable, you are not.

You called your insurance right? They should cover a rental for you up to a month. Thats what Allstate did for me when I got hit by a drunk driver. Not to mention, Toyota probably owes you a vehicle.

Response took at least 10-15 min, I was right by an on-ramp/offramp but County takes a minute to get out

Thank you! Ya except I want a full sized truck for my needs and a diesel because unlike gas, diesel doesn’t catch on fire. Hell, who knows what I’ll get, I might end up getting a tundra or a simple corolla to just get me around till I get started in a career.

I see you are adamant about no new lights. It appears the headlights were changed out and the fogs are definitely different if they're the same in your Avatar. I also noticed you created a WTB thread for a 32 inch lightbar a year ago. I'm not accusing, but I'm curious as electrical could make sense. I'm glad you're ok. I'm just always learning as much as I can about my truck and if catching fire is a concern I'm definitely researching everything about why and how. Again, glad you and everyone else is ok.
