And for the love of god get two. I got home from a deployment and my wife had a fender bender in a parking lot she thought I would not find out about. About 50 feet from her car I ask when she wrecked the car. She said "WHAT, how did you know?". I said well had you had them replace both headlights I wouldn't.

If you are looking for close to factory for a good price I have had great luck with TYC as a brand. If you get anything other than OEM make sure you seal the seam between the bucket and lens with clear silicone.

My money is on a fat chick got winded carrying her Twinkie's out of WM and had to take a moment to rest. Sitting on this poor Taco and causing damage. Happens all the time. Every time I see a fat chick I think "yep, broken headlight!"

You could try one of those plastic welding kits. Pretty much melting plastic back together with a soldering iron. But I would try and reinforce with some mesh and epoxy if you go that route.

That's a clean break. You sure you don't have scuff marks on the lens where someone nudged it in a parking lot?

Had your truck serviced at the dealership lately? My local dealer crashed my 4Runner into the wall and didn’t tell me. I discovered it during my typical post service inspection before paying. The dealer paid to repaint my bumper but I bet they were counting on me not seeing it and then just blaming myself when I noticed it a month or two later.

Yep. I didn’t pay for that service. They also tried to talk me into accepting touch up paint as a fix. No way. Ironically, they took pre-service pics because “customers keep blaming them for damage.” Glad they did. The bummer is that I really want to trust that service department because they are my local dealer.

I slipped in the snow and fell up against the headlight. Same damage.
Headlight is expensive to replace. I tried plastic weld and it didn't hold so I put a thin piece of metal under the break and bolted it together. I have no plans to sell the truck anytime soon so Ill watch the swap meets and junk yards for one to eventually pop up. I think it was like $400 for a new assembly.

Yeah I have broke a tab like that before too. I fixed it by drilling small holes, lacing wire through them and then a thin layer of fiberglass mat. My wife said I spent over $500 in labor and should've just bought the light.
