lol just saw this a bit ago. he's virtue signalling. Either the car market was going to be headed in that direction anyway and his bill wouldn't have made a difference, or it will get overturned/never happen once we reach that year and realize making everything electric isn't feasible...depends how technology and infrastructure goes.

that being said, I fully plan to straight pipe a 2034 911 just for his sake if it does come to fruition.

also lmao @ the idea of banning gas cars, but isn't electricity made by burning coal and natural gas?

also, what's to stop someone buying new from out of state and then transferring it over to CA.

Now we're gonna need that high-speed rail (https://lao.ca.gov/ballot/2008/1A_11_2008.aspx). Oh wait...

It is going on 12 years since Prop 1A passed (2008 -- Bond amendment to create a "Safe, Reliable High-Speed Passenger Train" from SF to LA). Unless we think that maglev trains are going to sprout up in Bakersfield sometime before 2023, I would not worry too much about a promise by a politician for something that is slated for 2035.

Y’all keep applying 2020 infrastructure to a 2035 problem. Remember that no plan survives contact with the enemy. They have a mandate - a plan. Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t. I hope it does, but I’m not going to hold my breath.

WHATEVER HAPPENS IN THE NEXT 15 YEARS...

Relax, people. A lot can happen in 15 years. 15 years ago my cell phone only made phone calls.

Big business opportunity for people in neighboring states to bring in used cars and sell them.

Thought the market adjustment for the Pro was bad enough the first time wait until the PO MA is applied.

most likely going to be a 'wealth tax' on anybody relocating to another state
they will come for your pockets no matter where you live if you are a former resident

Forum will still be here, but the complaints will be how so and so's horse is eating more than manufacturer stated, won't stay on path, has assaulted other riders/drivers, and the transmission still shifts bad. What's the best feed for my horse? How big of shoes can I fit on a stock horse?
