Swore I never would but I ordered a 1" body lift from 4crawler offroad (Roger Brown) last night. Great customer service and he answered mutiple emails within minutes.

Truck is already lifted 3 inches with OME 883s. I've been rocking out 33" tires for 8 years now but it's time to step up the game to 35's. Being locked front and rear the biggest thing that stops me now is lack of ground clearance so 35's will help a little. Plus I'm disappointed I haven't broke a front cv yet with my front locker. Some bigger tires should fix that:rolleyes:.

I know I'm still going to have trimming to do on the firewall, cab mounts and possibly still the fenders even with the 1" lift but I'm hoping it will minimize the need for it.

Looking forward to receving the lift and getting this project rolling.

Sounds like one of the few reasons for needing a body lift that you can justify lol.

Plenty of wheeling members run 1" BL's for more clearance

    Should be good to go!

Another side-benefit to a 1" BL, is easier access underneath to things like bell-housing bolts.

For sure. This was another reason I went for it. I put a new clutch in a few months ago and that extra 1" would have been nice.

A extra inch could mean a world of difference depending on where it was at.

I'm also wondering. New brake lines or at least extending the current ones? Anything else?

I haven't got my lift yet, should be another week or so. Off the site I ordered from you can customize your lift to what you need. They have brackets for everything much of which is not needed on the 1" lift.

I went with a basic setup. The 1" lift blocks, front and rear bumper brackets so there is no gap between body and bumper, a steering shaft extension, and bed spacers that support the bed cross memeber so I can still haul "heavy" loads. I also chose to upgrade all my hardware to something a little stronger but really for 1" I doubt you would have to.

The radiator will hit the bottom of the shroud after being lifted which is a easy fix as the bottom piece of the shroud just unclips. As for brake lines and other cables there is sufficient slack to allow for a 1" lift.

Read the Roger Brown (4Crawler) install writeup. It covers everything...
In addition to Ktaco's input, your fuel filler neck will need some loving - at least remember to remove the fuel cap before lifting the bed. I essentially got the same 'parts' as Ktaco, opting out on the bumper brackets. Easy install. Loosen all bolts, but do not remove the them. Lift one side, then the other. Do either the cab or the bed first - I did the cab first. It will help to have a second set of hands.

Did you upgrade to the "heavy duty" hardware as well?

when you venture into armor is when you have issues with body lifts. i know a few locals having to fab brackets to get their stuff to line up without gaps. good luck with install, its pretty straight forward

Do you recall if you had to drill out the stock washers to accomadate the larger bolts?

I'm considering Daystar one-piece polyurethane bodymount bushings that have 1" lift

I seen the daystar kit but decided to go with the 4crawler offroad kit because it seems to be thoroughly tested by the offroad community.

That's not to say the Daystar is a bad choice; there just wasn't enough "reviews" on it for me.
