So, I took the truck through puddles and a water crossing. The water crossing was prob a 40-45 second pass.

Now the truck doesn’t have the pep/power, feels bogged down, and shifting is jumping all over the place. Feels as if it lost 1/3rd it’s power.

It is not throwing any codes, the under carriage looks fine as I hosed everything off.

    Any ideas?

Have you checked the transmission fluid? Sounds like something is wrong in that area, but its sealed so wonder how water would have leaked in there.

I would make sure you also get all the water out of the rear differential (like wipe the gears down). Next thing would be to check sensors although that should throw codes out. Other than that, did you change your engine oil just in case?

Yup, engine oil was clean. The rear differential had oil flushed through.

Your ecu is probably confused by the pace you where off-roading at so your shifts might be a little off. I could be wrong on that tho. Check your intake from the wheel well all the way to the air box to make sure there’s no blockage. You’ll also be able to tell how much water got into the air box. A little tip for increasing power is removing the secondary air filter in the box.

Is your air filter damp? If you sucked water vapors in the air intake you have a problem now...

You probably got water in the connector to the transmission. I would unplug and spray that out with electrical cleaner. If you get water in those connectors, it will make the transmission do all kinds of funny stuff.

Wait! What? You took it off road! What were you thinking? Just because it says off road doesn’t mean you can drive off road! But seriously, let us know the solution.

Hey Chewie- besides not driving in water o_O what is the best treatment of those connections that someone can do to protect them before driving through water?

Yea, did the dif breather mod already as well, sorry if you didnt do it OP- perhaps now would be a good time for that too:

Unless the breather mod was done, how else would water get in the diff?

Breather was not done prior. I didn’t know it was only 14-16” off the ground. Already ordered the parts from the dealer and picking them up Thursday

Unsure where exactly it's at. Should be somewhere on the transmission itself. I'm just talking from experience with a couple of older cars. Water getting into the connector can cause issues.
