After going thru the water twice, almost immediately after exiting , truck began to shudder when nearing shifting at lower rpm's.
Isn't that noticeable if acceleration is faster. Also, not too bad when truck is cold. Starter also went out after passing thru water.
Brought it to a trusted tranny shop and he transmission looked good, ( fluid color no metal , etc). He wasn't sure where it was coming from, suggested drive shaft center bearing but I replaced that last year and it was good prior to water entry. Service engine light not illuminated...... ????
    Any help is appreciated

Did the top of the motor get wet at all? Like the plugs or connections?

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    This as well.

    When did this happen?

You might want to check connections on the transmission also.

Did you check differential oil also?

Could have corroded some wiring, wet/corroded/shmoo'd the MAF.

No I didn't check the differential, just had the tran fluid checked. I will check the MAF as well.

    Thanks for the ideas

A lot. Check out my build page.
check the rear diff fluid and if it's milky/brown, drain it immediately and get some fresh fluid in there. Then do the rear diff breather mod if you havent already.

With any vehicle that has been submerged, the differential fluid and maybe even the transmission fluid should be changed. It doesn't take much water contamination to ruin things.

+1. The MAF sensor is a fickle bitch, anything so much as looks at it wrong and it'll cause you problems. Usually throws a code though, no? When mine went bad on both my old Prerunner and my current truck I got hit with a CEL.

I'd let it dry out good... Do these trucks not have a distributor cap?

Water in the distributor cap used to throw the same symptoms.

im right in south Louisiana to. hope you and your family are doing well, we were lucky, no water in the house, thank God. I had similar problem. for me it was the coils on cylinders 5 and 6. the seals let water in. if you pull the coils, look to see if it looks like water was there then dried up. it took a few days, it got rougher and rougher, then misfires started. I replaced coils and plugs, good as new! if you get any dash lights come on I keep an OBD diag scanner in my truck 24/7 if your nearby let me know. hollar if you need something brother :)
