Let me get this straight, you bought the VSC and did not receive a copy of the contract? That's a big red flag, perhaps they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes on the length/miles of the VSC.

 

That's when dealers adjust value because trucks are "hard to find"

There's some people who will pay it, but if you search a little you can find dealers that don't mark them up.

 

If there is not a Monroney Sticker on the new vehicle, they are breaking federal law.

 

Except that most consumers aren't aware of that, and dealers are happy to take advantage of the ignorant...

 

VSC>?? Is that the extended warranties such as 75k coverage, door ding, tire guard, etc?

 

It's essentially identical to MSRP, but sometimes accessories/options/packages vary by TMS region, so it is a reflection of the MSRP in that market. My dealership does a sheet with identical information:

I have NEVER seen a new car dealership that did not display the factory Monroney Sticker.
If you do, report that dealership to the authorities immediately. By "authorities" I mean the FBI.

When I ordered my first MINI Cooper S in 2002, Century BMW used to do that.

When I ordered my 2010 from Nick Alexander they were doing the same thing.

Bob Smith BMW here in Calabasas does the same thing on the M3/m5. When I asked them few months ago, they say "oh car just came in we didn't put the sticker yet," except that the car has been sitting on their floor for oever 4 months...

I have never seen one not display the monroney either. But they do addendum stickers which "add" to the MSRP and place them NEXT to the monroney.

 

No, that is legal. The monroney is on the left, and an addendum is on the right. Perfectly legal.

 

If there's no monroney, contact 911 immediately (JK). I don't know who oversees this, the FTC perhaps?

 

Ok, yes, things under Vehicle Service Agreements in that link are what I'm referring to. 6 weeks of calls
and emails and no one would give me the information - very much like they had something to hide. Most
were dealer specific and 2 were covered by Toyota. I spent much of last week cancelling all of them, now
we'll find out what they actually cancelled; should I hear that from them or Toyota and will the refunded fees
go to the lien holder or us?

 

Depends how you paid for them. If you paid cash for everything, after cancel, you should get a refund.

If everything was rolled into your LOAN, then the checks (VSA/GAP whatever) usually is sent to the lender, and they credit it back to your loan...

 

I did report one dealer. Nothing happened (that I know of). They are selling more M cars to Armenians than they know what to do with...
