Sorry to restart this but I'm interested in doing the same thing. Has anybody been able to buy just the low-rise brackets from @Mobtown Offroad to modify and purchase the 80/20 on their own? I sent an email last week but haven't heard back.

I think you'll have better luck tagging them on the forum, than emailing them. @jowybyo @Mobtown Offroad

That aside, I can also measure my uprights and post the dimensions. It should be a pretty easy/quick piece for a fab shop to cook up. That way you can avoid chopping up perfectly good parts.

    Hey Ryan,

Below are the dimensions for my uprights. Feel free to modify the dimensions to best suit your needs. Good luck!SKM_C360i20041510150_0001.jpg SKM_C360i20041510150_0002.jpg

I see you completed this project. I saw your truck photo in another thread and was like "hey! that's what I did..."

    Nicely done, sir!

Thanks, they look great! I meant to do a little write up on how it went but haven't gotten around to it.

Do you never open your bed cover? What's the effort to remove the bars if you need to open the bed cover; Just remove the 8 bolts and take the bars off?

Very rarely do I need to open it, but yes, remove the 8 bolts and get 2 people to lift the rack out as 1 piece, with all the accessories attached. Or remove the accessories and I can remove the bars by myself.

I did the same process with some help from Bert and ended up with a roll up cover that I can open all the way.
I've had to take the bars off a few times and it's 5-10 minutes tops.

Old thread, but thanks for posting this. This is the exact setup I want. Fairly low and using the 3 inch wide black 80/20. I just want the rails up towards the cab so I can put a couple coolers up there to free up bed space when we go camping/hunting. Being up towards the cab would still let me roll the cover open at least halfway or more. I have a whole rack of 80/20 at work, just need to look around and see if I can get just the brackets somewhere.

Where are you located? I'm probably going to sell my rack.
