I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
They ignored me when i walked to my dealership when i drove up in my dads 92 ram. I drove up the next day in my moms ballin ass rx8 in my work clothes, sure enough they were on me in seconds. He was like "can i help you" i said you didn't want to yesterday and i wouldn't be buying there.

The rep that I was talking to said that he got a 98 Ford F150 with a rebuilt engine and tranny for like $8,000. He said the enigne only had 800 miles on it

FWIW, A dealer cannot sell a vehicle to a person under 18 due to the legality of entering into a contract with a minor.

Thats weird, when i pulled up to the dealerships i went to, chevy, gmc, hummer, jeep, dodge, bmw, toyota, mazada and some off brand used car dealers, I had a sales man walk right up to me and asked if he could help me, and when im in the middle of the lot another guy would pop outta no where and ask if he could help us, Im serious too.

If i was in your position and no one would help I would walk around looking at the cars and then if some one walked up to me i would say "well i was planning on getting this vehicle but i dont know if i should buy here now"

In all reality, how often do you think they sell new cars to young people? I'm sure i was an exception and i was 19.

    i was too pissed off

i still havent been back to that dealer

the dealerships talk to younger folks because theyre hoping to get a sale out of your parents...but then when one wants to buy...they think its a joke

because probably 95% of the time a young person comes to the lot...theyre just kicking tires and test driving for fun...

that makes it a LOT more difficult to buy a car when youre young

Gotta play hard to get with dealers. i was following a salesman inside a dealership and he walked way ahead of me and didn't hold the door open for me. I just stayed outside walking around the trucks. He came outside to get me and was like "are you coming?" i just said, you weren't waiting on me so i decided to look around more. needless to say this was the one i walked away from. Made sure i called him a greenpea while negotiating. That really pissed him off cause thats what they call the new salesman who isn't very good.
