I liked the idea of the Frontier when I was shopping. The extra hp and ft.lbs are good to have and I read a lot of good things about them. The thing that got me to order a Tacoma was the interior.

If you want a stick shift in the Frontier, you are railroaded into the base trim, with nothing but a plastic dash, cloth seats and a cd player. In the Tacoma, you can have heated leather, a great stereo, back up cam, temp display, compass, bluetooth, garage door opener, cargo bed power, bed track system, fog lights, blah blah blah blah.... In the fronty you get none of that if you want a stick. They even take away the track system that is arguably the best feature on both of these trucks.

I'm not sad I ended up ordering a Taco, I'm looking forward to it arriving, but I'm disappointed there is absolutely nothing else to choose on the market if you want a stick shift and a few bells and whistles.

I have a feeling Toyota might even drop the stick for 2014.... ?
