We have grown into a nation that demands immediate satisfaction. I don't remember drive thru's when I was growing up. Hell, I barely remember seeing a McDonalds unless we went into town. This also brings up the cell phone and handheld games. WTF....I went to a resturant with my wife and kids and at the table next to us, a family of four sat there and didn't say one word to each other the entire time. The kids played there PSP's, the wife was texting on her phone and the husband was drinking too much to care.

Another thing that gets me is this, in most places you have to get phone service to get the internet. Well, they advertise the internet as only costing $29/month but what they fail to mention is that you need to have a phone line also that costs another $29/month. You can get by without the phone but the internet cost goes up and you'll have to ask for it because they sure as hell won't tell you about it.
Cable TV is another BS gimmic...lol
You pay for the channels you want and get stuff you don't. They advertise that your getting 200 channels but they fail to mention that you'll only watch about 5 channels. How many different MTV's do you need? I can see having region or time zone specific items but hell, they don't show music videos anymore.

I agree with most of you, but I have to give mad props to DC shoes. My last pair went for 3 years and I'm a real guy. I don't have a bunch of shoes. I wear the same pair every single day till they fall apart and then get another pair. DC's FTW. I tried another brand and they fell apart in 6 months.

I will be in Roseville the last week in April. Order up some nice weather for me, OK?

Wanna teach a class on gauge mods? :)

Which roseville? theres a roseville in socal and one in norcal. I live in norcal roseville near sacramento. I can definitely show you how to do your gauges. free of charge if you bring the LEDs and do all the work yourself.

This is why homebuying is a false investment.

People always ask me why I don't buy a home rather than "throwing your money away" on rent.

I pay less yearly in rent than you pay in property taxes. And it doesn't cost my time or money to maintain my living space - that's someone else's property. And it's super easy for me to relocate if needed.

Welcome to the new American nomadism...the only viable method of survival in the modern US economy.

Coming to norcal. I will be on a project at a local business on Eureka Road. We will see how the week goes, but it would be cool to meet a person or two from TW. I usually work normal days when I travel for business, so I hope get out and see the area a little.
