Hah, I have to admit, I've thought about going to engineer school myself. It's definitely worked out well for him. It's the first job he's kept. Yeah, he does work the list.

Nowhere else in the world ;)

I'm slightly partial to Phoenix only because my company has an office there. But, who knows where I'll end up. :)

    It's crossed my mind. :p

We have lots of them around here, although most are homeless and sound like they're muttering "gravy gravy gravy" to themselves as they shuffle along.

    SOLD!

I don't mind hippies all that much. They're easily spooked and amuse me. I spent some time in Eugene, Oregon awhile back and really enjoyed it.

Once you get past the constant stank of ass and patchouli, they're not that bad.

It's on the list for consideration. Cheap as hell to buy out there and pretty much everything needed for normal living is easily accessible.

I'm a computer programmer for an IT company. Our entire business is based on allowing our clients to remotely access their files and desktop from anywhere, so it's honestly good advertising to have our own clients doing the same thing.

Teledouching is far less messy. :p

I live in Chandler. Its 15 min south of tempe. ITs a newer area and many great things around it i.e. Restraunts, malls, stores, off-road shops, and Kovac Racing (baja 1000 truck) is 2 min from my house. (he is a real nice guy). To snowboard and you have to go up north. about a 3 hr drive from PHX.

Scottsdale's pretty cool..its classy but a lil pricey...no matter where you decide to move, your only 2-3 hours away from snow in the winter. Tempe is cool too...lots of night life and pretty girls

Southern Utah might be something to consider too. Moab and Kanab are a few towns that come to mind.

Moab has Canyonlands National Park right by for some awesome off-roading. It's certainly not desert racing but I'd think that wouldn't be to hard to find within a few hours.

Park City is only 4-5 hours away so if you're a ski/board freak like me, that might influence your decision. Breckenridge, Vail, etc. isn't that far east either.

A few downsides compared to AZ, harder to get beer/liquor, southern UT is pretty sparse (no big cities), and the weather gets chilly cold in the winter but probably better than NJ.

I'm most likely just projecting because I'd love to like in southern UT for all the national parks and outdoors stuff. :D

I would recommend the Apache Junction or Fountain Hills area. You will be the closest to good trails and recreation areas in the Tonto (I should know I work for them). If it was my decision and could live anywhere, I would go with Fountain Hills or East Mesa. Both have newer areas to live in and have great attractions, you will be close to the superstition mountains, Saguaro and Canyon lakes and about an hour and a half from Payson and two and a half from Flagstaff where you can go snowboarding. I have more info if you want, also check out Tonto National Forest website to see what there is to do in the area http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/tonto/tp/vendors.php.

We loved Moab when we visited in September of last year. It's definitely on my list of places to return to because all we were able to visit was Arches Nat'l Park.

Yeah, that's a great park! I just got back yesterday from a trip out there with my newly engaged fiancée.:yay:

Southern UT and northern AZ were pounded with snow so we got to see all the parks covered in a few inches or the white stuff. Great views and some great pictures!

Not in Arizona, but it's neighbor is Albuquerque, NM. Kind of like Arizona, a lot of desert, but we get snow and rain and not as hot, but does get to 100 rarely. We have mountians and skiing within an hour, heck maybe even less. We have alot of IT jobs here, and buying a house is alot cheaper. FYI.

    Congratulations on the engagement!!!!

The drive from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon to Moab - through the northeast corner of Arizona.... oh.my.god. Easily the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I really can't wait to get back out there again. I took some amazing pictures at Moab and have them framed in our living room :)

Your fiancée got recently engaged to someone or you recently got engaged to her? Seems a fair question considering we're talking about Utah. ;)

    Congrats. :)
