the MARC? how exactly does that work? I have a MARC station close to the house, but I know almost nothing about public transportation around here.

 

I wonder if we are ever on the same train?

I take either 302 or 304 in the mornings, and take either 303 or 305 home in the afternoons.

 

No, the VRE (Virginia Railway Express). It's Virginia's counterpart to the MARC.

 

Usually 300 in the morning because my shift starts at 6:30am. I get off at L'Enfant.

Usually on 303 in the afternoon.

 

I'm going to have to look into it....

I commute from Harpers Ferry to Reston every morning.... it's a little over an hour... I just wonder if there is a better way

 

I have a buddy who rides the MARC from Harpers Ferry to Union Station everyday. I don't know of any trains that serve the Reston area except maybe the Metro.

Where do you drive from and where exactly in Reston do you work?

The closest Metro Station to Sunrise Valley Drive is the Whiele-Reston East station on the Silver Line but that probably won't do you any good because there are no other stations closer to you.

Looks like driving is it.

it's STILL totally worth it.... we were living in Ashburn VA before.... in a little 1600 sq ft townhouse w/ a 1 car garage and a little patch of grass in the "backyard"..... paying $2k a month

now, my mortgage is $2k and we have a 5000 sq ft house on 3/4ths of an acre w/ a 2 car garage haha..... plus it's peaceful out there in the Shenandoah Valley... no sirens, honking, etc...

 

psh. you know what your voice does to me......

we're holding a mod day at my house on September 9th... another member and myself are swapping... he's going back to stock, and I bought all his aftermarket parts

so my truck is getting: Demello bumper, All pro sliders, Toytec coilovers, AAL, Icon shocks, Mobtown tailgate cap / reenforcement, ArmorTech IFS skid, and an AFE intake

I also have an Engo 10k winch, 4Runner TRD Pro wheels, and 285s sitting in my garage as well..... open invite to anyone who wants to roll by.... lend a hand.... mod your own truck..... help someone mod theirs....

there will be Tacomas, beer, I'm sure we'll have the grill going, and maybe even a fire pit or something that evening
