I mean we got my dad's long bed 4 door taco up Morrison. But he had to do some of the switchbacks backwards haha

Maybe a 2018 group and a 2019 group so more people can get in on this adventure? I could be in for 2018 but 2019 would probably be easier. But both are still so far away.

I like that idea. I could possibly be in for both groups! Wouldn't that be some shit!

Funny you should mention that. I just had an idea actually.

    Hear me out...

Being that it seems like we all want to do both Colorado and Utah, why not split the trip up? There’s no reason we all can’t get in on both so we divide it into a CO trip and then a UT trip.

So in August 2018, we could do CO *or* UT— not both.

Then in 2020 (give us a year off to recover and plan), we do whatever state we didn’t do in 2018.

It would allow us to relax our pace a bit more and also see more shit rather than rushing through everything to do it all in 1 shot.

    Thoughts??

The only problem I see with that is if someone can only do one year and it's not to the state they prefer if anyone else has state preference.

That’s fair, curious to hear everyone else’s inputs. I’m not guaranteed to make both just had the idea and threw it out there

Yeah no doubt, it's definitely a fair idea the break of a year definitely would up my chances of being able to make both. I've never been to either state so I would like both.

I'm out here so I'm good with either. It would be great to get you all out west in 2018 one way or another. There are definitely 2 weeks worth of beautiful things to see in both Utah and CO.

Id love to do a Colorado trip. Probably wouldn’t be a good idea this year with a 6–8 month old. I’m going to have to keep an eye on this thread though, trip has been on my bucket list for 10+ years.

I like the idea of breaking out the trip and doing two states in two years. Zion Utah would be a sweet destination

Maybe we pick spots closer to the border of the 2 states so we can do both? I think we need to make a decision on how much time is spent wheeling vs in transit and on the highway, so as to decide on a final route

What if everyone quits their jobs and we just do a full-time road trip convoy :D

But in all seriousness, Id be down for 2 trips for sure, but like @ADV4R said if someone could only do 1 trip and it was to a state they didnt want to do then that'd be a problem. How many people are in for august 2019 anyway? No ones backed out yet right?
