I didn’t see mentioned the weight op plans so this isn’t a recommendation I’d suggest to make. That’s why it’s best to let them contact their customer service.

I’d likely be mad if someone recommended black to me for my use. It’s all how you plan on using the truck majority of the time.

I just got rid of the Wescott rear block for a set of Dobinson 110 light duty leaf packs, and my only regret is not doing it from the get go instead. Even without weight, I was already noticing the rear of the truck sitting lower after a year and a month of use, and the ride quality in the rear end had definitely gotten worse over time.

For comparison, the full leaf packs sit higher unloaded and the truck sits near level when loaded with my normal offroading and camping gear. Even with light load the ride quality is already much improved on and off pavement. The shop that installed also said the leaf packs can be reconfigured with an extra leaf spring if I add permanent weight in the future, so adding a bumper or RTT wouldn't mean the full parts and labor cost for the rear suspension.

So in my view, if you know you're adding a topper just take the plunge for a full leaf pack set, skip the block and do the rear properly from the get go.

You’re right, a Block is a band aid, the OE leaf pack is barely able to haul a few hundred pounds, let alone adding a topper then weight.

I got my topper installed this past Monday. Measured when I got it home and still have about 1 inch of rake on a completely stock suspension. We'll see what happens over time but for now I'm good the way it is.

Seems like a good place to be, when you load up with gear the truck should settle down in the back and level out instead of sagging in the rear. With about an inch higher in the back of my truck with a new leaf pack, the bed is nearly level when loaded up with my offroad and camping gear plus people in the back seats now instead of sitting lower like it would with a 1" block before.
