I don't think so. Mine has pin hole spots from rocks chipping the coating off, that's about it

@Unchained 5150 if you are buying a front bumper you should consider 700# springs. Sorry if I'm late to the party. I haven't been on here much.

@Kristi with a K, thank you recovery is going well.

Edited due to auto correct on my phone. Holy hell!

Looks good. I think You've done some work since I've seen it last. Lift wheels tires? You had the rack on the first time I've spotted you.

@Clark27 - Sorry for the delay. Lots going on & then I get hit by the short days & windy cold & temporarily lose my mojo. Seems to be worse this year. Not that I get depressed cuz I know all of a sudden it'll be spring & I'll be pissed at myself for not doing all this indoor stuff when I had a chance.... In other words, still upbeat & moving forward, just a little slower I guess.
Anywho, I am finding myself stuck on making a decision about the kit. For one, there are non-OEM ones that have received great reviews, although who knows if they'll last the 230,000 that my present belts have. & now that I put it that way, I doubt it. Other thing is that crankshaft bolt. Do you know, seeing's how yours is a 1st gen, can you access the bolt from the top of the engine with enough room to use a 3 foot pipe as leverage? I am guessing maybe with a breaker bar as the ratchet I could?, since it has some play, however since I'm finally getting back to you & writing a book, thought I'd ask. & maybe, depending on the answer, It'll give me that swift kick in the ass to just buy one or make a decision & let you know....

I am 99% sure this is the exact kit I bought, i will go through the parts and make sure, he sells a variety of kits. This kit is nice since it includes all belts, water pump, t-stat, etc. so you can just get it all done at once. All OEM parts, they lasted this long the first time, do it once more with the same parts.

Unfortunately I haven't done one before. I heard that bolt isn't too bad and you have the right idea with a long breaker bar against the frame rail. I know a few of these local guys have done it before, somebody will chime in.

Yeah probably just wheels and tires since I saw you then. I did rear lift a while back but it makes a big difference with wheels and tires. Had a front lift collecting dust but have frame issues.

Haven’t seen your rig in a while!
