naa. You go up route 2 east out of north adams. Around the hairpin turn. When you reach the top, right at that mount greylock viewing building, you will see a dirt road on the other side of the street leading to a radio tower. it is right at the big green sign that goes over the road that says "steep hills and curves for the next mile" .Park at the tower, and walk one minute down the trail. It opens up to something similiar as the spot where the hang gliders jump off greylock.

if you want to see one hella' view of mount greylock, drive into the main gate of Eastover. At the end of that main gate road, look north (left). You CANT miss it. And if you look straight, you have october mountain. You'll be fine. If by chance anybody asks what your doing, just say you use to come here a lot and your just looking. They are used to people coming in and looking. I used to work there when it was the original Eastover, up until it closed. The new owner has changed it a lot. I have so many memories there, so i go in there quite frequently.

What is going on with that place now? I know it changed hands and it doesn't appear to be what they were making it out to be.
I played there years ago for a boar's head festival. Was kinda cool.

a chinese women bought it. Its still a resort and still has events and things. But its got a yoga/zen influence to it now. Seeing it get sold really hit me hard. I literally grew up there, as my grandfather took care of the pools forever. Then i worked there for several years. The old eastover had a major civil war theme. The man who started it, george bisacca, had a massive civil war collection, and used the place as a museum to show it to the visitors. Also, as you know it had all kinds of shows and events. We had pow wows, bands and musicians like jefferson starship and bil krauss, and even nudists. It was a super casual, anybody is accepted kind of place. And it was rustic. No air conditioners, no tv's in the rooms etc. You actually had to go outside on the grounds and enjoy. Now its so different in there. But a lot is the same as well. My favorite area is the driving range down by tally ho (the music building). I used to run that tobaggan track with my grandfather. The head of security talked to me last time i was there and had no idea that big track going down the hill was an ice tobaggan. My initials are even inside that little wooden hut right there, it says j.b (me) and k.o (my cousin) 2005. Sorry this is so long, this place means the world to me. Do you know dick dinacola? He used to play there a lot in a band. Drums i believe.

Very cool background story. I loved seeing the buffalo in the field. Was kinda bummed when they left. I wanted my son to be able to enjoy seeing them there.
I do not know Dick. What style stuff does he play? Do you know?

good to know you guys are visiting out here (Northampton area). Levi works at the same dealer my brother does @Unchained 5150 and we went to high school together. From what I hear he's a good mechanic! But @DrFunker i need to know your thoughts on your voodoo tailgate cap?
