I can take my tractor out of my storage container lol

I was thinking the other day, I really like my 4door, but my "dream" taco has an ac cab and the older style square headlights, not the newer round ones on the later 1st gens.

THEN I WANT AN AWESOME FLAT BED ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Contact that guy and get some pics. It would last one winter outside lol

If it isn't hard, I wouldn't mind a couple pics or a general "what needs to be done"

Might take some convincing the wife, but its hard to find a cherry up here and thats a great price if its in decent shape. The price makes me wonder though because most who own these know the value.

Mmm I've always really liked that color. But 99 was part of the buyback program and the front end style only ran from 98-00. I believe even in 99 the base model could still have manual hubs. Throttle body should be fully mechanical, with a j-shift tcase. The 3.4l v6 is an incredibly reliable motor with the biggest thing it needs most of the time is tye timing belt every 90k miles, which last time I did one in the 4runner i wrecked it cost me around $210 in parts if I remember right (rockauto has an Aisin kit and then just add a thermostat). Transmissions were fine either way they seem to last. Biggest thing to watch out for is rust since they are a fully boxed frame. They did have a TRD offroad package back then along with a rare limited package that had a moonroof and a couple other things, but wasnt as drastic of an interior change as todays trucks going from SR5 to limited. My favorite Tacoma is still an 01-04 xtra cab v6 4x4.
