Not officially. We just met up so I could give him my factory roof rack.

My truck sure looks like it's gotten some use (read: been through a war...) compared to his '15! Doesn't help that it was dirty.

it was very cool. My coworker told me about it when i told him about the place off holmes rd. He grew up in monterey. No gates no nothing. You can drive right in and up. Did not check out beartown, but passed an entrance to it.

I was talking about mine. I have dirt all over it so it looks awful.

    Thanks!

Wow going to check these spots out! I've been scoping out spots in Vermont since NY does not allow off roading anywhere. Would love to check out some of these mass areas. If anyones going out on a weekend let me know, would love to hit one up before snow hits!

I'm in Albany NY. I found some cool trails in Vermont in the Green Mountain National Forest. It was mainly just gravel/dirt, but it goes for 20+ miles through switch backs of the mountain. It was called "Forest Trail 71" and i got on it around Searsburg on the East side of the State park. After 20 miles it brings you north of Bennington. It's a fun trip, but really not very rugged. Definitely nice to have a truck, but the road is in pretty good shape.

Just poking around a little with this. A couple years back I took a road coming off route 2 MA and landed on route 100 VT somehow. Was a fun road, esp. since I had no clue where I was and where I was going to pop out. Would love to check this trail out too.

I have a friend who lives off of VT 100. Drove back with her one night and almost hit a deer three separate times on that road. Didn't help that it was something like 3 AM after about 7 hours of driving.

That is how I found the trail. I just went for a scenic drive through Vermont with my sister in the truck. Just kind of got lost around route 7 and route 100. By chance found the Forest Trail access and ended up going through it, glad I found it. Tons of camp sites and everything throughout the trail that are all free to camp at.

I believe the trail is still open until Dec 15th. Like I said, its not a hardcore off road experience. It more of a fun scenic drive, but nothing that requires a lift or crazy tires. There were some trails that go off of the main one that looked more rugged, but since I was by my self with no recovery equipment I didn't venture too far off the main trail.

I definitely want to get out there again before Winter is in full effect. Would be awesome to get a few of us together. Some great places to stop for lunch before hitting the trail.

Found a cool trail today in Pelham. Old Pratts corner road. It got a bit tight but I could have gone on. Had the baby and wife with me though so I though maybe another time. May be a little too narrow for a nice new truck though....

This one looks just wide enough for an ATV.
    Kinda like Ashley Trail @js312

Yeah definitely would great for a four wheeler. It got too tight and I was not gonna chance it. It was cool up to there though. I'm thinking I've found some new hunting territory!

Maybe a more mild form of Ashley Trail, but just as narrow.

Don't remind me of that road! Not my best decision! Was kind of a "let's see what this thing can do" moment not long after I bought the truck. A nearly 12 ft wheelbase is not ideal for places like that. Though I think now that I have the lift I wouldn't hit on my tube steps in there anymore. Not that I'm going to try it.

I grew up in Florida Ma, could show you some cool roads. I was thinking of taking Sucker Pond from Stamford to Bennington in the new adventure mobile.
