Awesome trip guys! Really appreciate everyone making the drive. @stronghammer you are not giving yourself enough credit man, you rode everything you set out to ride. That grind up Clawhammer is no joke and you made it to the top. That's a win in my book.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Thought I would share this with you guys if you haven’t seen it. Neat Little App. Even though I know most of the mtn peaks in NC, this is cool to use when your in new territory.
    A map works too ;)

we’re most of you on 27.5 or were their some 29rs in the group?

Just kidding obv. But I do think it's on the way out. I don't think it has the advantage it had over 29er now that we have reduced fork offsets

Yup. I own both. Would have to say when I got to pull that sucker up and clear it, my Bronson keeps my mind at ease. The MegaTower is just that...in XL feels bigger than my KTM lol

If you guys do Knoxville and have an open invite I'm all about riding there. Will a planning thread be in this same region forum? Looks like I might be the only hard tail rider, too.

Great pics, btw. I love that part of the country more than anywhere else.

We got there at 9:30 or so and had plenty of parking. Left Lake Imagine parking lot around 11 and it was slammed as I expected, parked just down the road from Corn Mill lot after that. So all in all not too bad but reminded me why I mainly ride Pisgah.

Don’t listen to Johnson, those of us not used to massively popular biking areas would call DuPont a madhouse. I was absolutely blown away by the amount of people. No real trail interference, just nuts in the parking lot.

I’m honestly surprised the parking lot had space. After people figured out they filmed the hunger games there it’s been nuts

What a great weekend in WNC!
The campsite was on point! Within 15 minutes to just about any trail that is worth riding. Tiny little creek running right next to it to cool your feet at the end of the day. And good cell reception.

Had a blast meeting everyone for the first time. I got to hit some trails that I've been meaning to explore for almost a year. And Sat. night's campfire was great.

Will be looking forward to next year.
