I'm heading up to Asheville tomorrow night, so I'll be riding all weekend. Sunday works just as well for me.

Bad news, I'm out this weekend. Painters at the AVL house are not finished so the place is a mess, we are going to go up next weekend instead.

Bailey is a no-go for me this weekend anyway, took a spill at Kanuga yesterday and bent my handlebars :annoyed:. New ones should be here early next week. All else is good though!

Will be making a trip to Bailey in early December if anyone is interested.

A spill that bent your bars huh. Sounds like a pretty intense wreck.

Honestly it was probably 10mph, not even on a feature, just didn’t pay enough attention on a turn and lost the front. First run of the day.

I think my weight landed on the bars just right. They were more of the entry level deity aluminum ones so I ordered a stronger variant for this go around.

not a massive bend, but enough to notice

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I will be a Brushy Mountain Motorsports Park.

Hey everyone - Just discovered this thread. I'm a very avid mountain biker and live in Swannanoa. I have a pretty good grasp on the riding all the way from Wilson Creek/Boone area to Brevard/DuPont. I have 2 kiddo's so I dont get out as much as I'd like to these days but if anyone ever needs any advice just shoot me a message and I'll help you out.

I'll be skiing in Boone 28-31 January. Pending trail conditions of course where can I sneak off to for a ride there? Best bang for the bike trail center

Rocky Knob is the only thing "close" to Boone. But it's really fun.

Yea definitely Rocky Knob if they are open. They'll close if the freeze/thaw is a problem. If you are skiing Beech, the backside of the mountain has the Emerald Outback trails which are super fun and they are building tons of new stuff. They might be snowed in though.

Oh that sounds fun - last ride recorded appears to be 31 December. I am optimistic and will ask around once we arrive
