Morning everyone, wondering if anyone knows of a shops in Asheville or Hendersonville that will install my rear shocks. Apparently due to liability a lot of shops wont do it. I live in an apt so unable to do it here, finally just gonna break down and pay someone..

I assume they salt the roads heavily up there?

Yes much more so than they used to. When the snow is gone you'd think the road was still covered it's all white. Then there's the brine solution they put down as a prespray

Same here, I would rather them not scrape and let the snow be traction. When I was in Montana they put sand on the roads because the salt is ineffective at colder temperatures. How does your frame look? mine is surprisingly rust free except for the spare tire holder and where the original u-bolts were, and my Allpro expos are the most rusty of all.

It looks great I just got this truck in August and got lucky somebody had taken care of it. I typically go out and power wash the underside as soon as it's warm enough, hell I put on a rain suit and crawl up under it to get it clean

I haven't cleaned mine after this last storm it's just too damn cold I'd have an ice skating rink in the driveway it's supposed to warm up next week so I'll get it then. It's a little hard to wash anything when we've been having low's like 5 or 6 degrees

Indeed, do you do any wheeling around here? I can't find anywhere good. We have Richland road, brown mountain, and dirt roads around the linville gorge.

Word, I moved here from Albuquerque and I can't wait to get back out west. So much better and I even grew up on the east coast

I was stationed out in Colorado springs for a couple of years which led me all over the west. I had the displeasure or displeasure of many trips to the Mojave and got to see alot of the west.

Nice, I stationed was in Montana for a year and new Mexico for 10 months so I did a bit of exploring not as much as I wanted too. The best trip I did was imogene pass in telluride. When I go back at the end of the year I hope to do all the good spots, maybe spend a few weeks out.
