Are you going to order one? If you do use the code in my sig to save yourself 10% if you want local pickup and the code then like before email Eddy what you want and he'll invoice you.

If you want it installed you come out here and I'll install it for a small fee. If I come to you it'll be fee plus fuel and drive time.:D

Hey guys, looking at planning a camping trip from KY out your all's way. I recently just got back from Utah/AZ area a couple months ago and am itching for at least a long weekend trip somewhere. I thought about going somewhere close to Asheville but wasn't sure. Just looking for some good scenery and some things to do for a weekend camping trip! Thanks guys

Not any hard core trails since i'll be alone but some back woods camping with views, water falls, etc. I have a gps so I can find a local beer and food joint in town wherever I go.

Doesn't have to be exactly Asheville. Just somewhere close to Cherokee or any other forest close by there. Heck, wouldn't rule out some new spots in the Smokey Mountains even know I've been towards Gatlinburg 1k times but never site seeing outside of town.

You do realize the majority of the Great Smokey Mtns is in NC? We just let TN have it on their quarter. There are tons of spots all over. One of my personal favs is Linville Gorge area and Linville falls. If you like hiking there are some tough hikes through there.

Smokies are awesome but you have to reserve campsites which can be a pain in the ass. If you’re gonna do the smokies I’d recommend the Lakeshore trail. It runs the north side of lake Fontana so you get backcountry camping with the lake just a couple hundred yards south of you

DuPont state forest has a ton of waterfalls but no over night camping.

I’d recommend the balsam area but the parkway is closed and you’d have to hike in which would be lengthy and risky if you’re running solo.

Johns Rock is an awesome area by a river, moderate trails, and a badass rock outcropping for epic views BUT BE CAREFUL CAUSE IT CAN ICE OVER AND YOU WILL SLIDE OFF THE EDGE if you’re not careful.

Near Johns rock is the Art Loeb trail that has some really cool spots for views and is an overall awesome trail for moderate hiking and access to evac if something went wrong. You can access it from the John Rock area.

Let me know and I’ll pull up my maps and screen shot them for you. I’d recommend a nat geo map if you go.

Yup, I've heard of Linville and have looked it up but have never been.

Drive to linville but do your camping and hiking in the Wilson creek area. That area is incredible and literally has everything. Waterfalls, views, fishing, hunting, whitewater kayaking and canoeing, and of course hiking and camping.

Old NC 105 has free camping. It runs beside the Gorge and Wiseman’s View. It is primitive camping..I guess it is still good to go year round? Have signs saying the road can get difficult if snow..

Got a front seat only set of weather techs that came out of my 2015 DCLB for local pickup near Hendersonville, NC if anyone is interested. $50. Used but good shape. Also if you need a good topper or tonneau in MGM look over on the 2nd gen marketplace I'll make you a real deal!!!!!! As far as off roading, if the BlueRidge Parkway would open there is a good technical road off Black Balsam in Haywood county. Unfortunately it closes Jan1.

Parkway is usually closed when there is any snow in the area.

I have a 2008 access cab that I bought about a year ago. I got in an accident on 41 outside ashville. Truck was totaled out, I bought it back and an fixing it up now. Had front and rear damage not much to front at all. Just got a flatbed put on it. I am going through the interior and engine this week then it is going to get a OME lift kit installed. I went with 884 coils and the heavy duty Dakar leaf pack in the back due to the flatbed. I am worried that the flat bed might not weight enough for the HD leaf pack. I also have a Mobtown front hitch coming and would like to add Mobtown bolt on rock sliders and skid plates to it. I am worried that with all that I should have gone with either the 885 or 886 with the firm shock. What do you guys think? 285/70 KO2 tires on American racing rims AR172. Got a bunch of small goodies to put in this week. Pretty excited to get this truck put together. This is a great place I found thanks.
