You won’t be disappointed with the p3 I have one in my tacoma and my 1st gen cummins. I like how you can even select how many axles are on the trailer and if it’s electric or even electric over hydraulic(which I doubt I’ll ever use)

Anyone know anything about these? Are they actual roads (Gaia shows them as high clearance/4wd roads). Going to be hitting Hurricane Creek in a couple weeks and working out way over to Windrock and wanted to do some exploring around the Hurricane creek area.

Is the red trail a road?

    Any intel on these?

Nope people went through it last weekend said there is no gate so that was some rumor I suspect.

I spoke directly with the ranger David Dixie who gave me the gate information. It's possible they were delayed in gating it or the gates were open for some reason. See post: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hurricane-creek.603300/page-2#post-22181951

Brian, I would recommend calling the Appalachian Ranger District before your trip to verify it's open/closed status . Their number is 828-689-9694.

That's the info I had seen. Yeah don't ride it if there is a question, that's how Richland got shut down. Remember, You drive a Toyota not a Jeep.

Agreed. I just called again. It's technically closed they just haven't closed the gates yet. They'd appreciate everyone staying off it after all the rain we've had lately.

Oh and the only one I can verify is gravel is Cold Springs Creek. If you haven't been, take it up to Max Patch Road and visit Max Patch Bald.

Edit: It's not a rough road. It's well maintained.

My memory of that area is fuzzy because its been years since I was guiding out there.. But I think most of those trails you highlighted were trails or private roads. I could be completely wrong, but I think that you arent going to get a truck down there

Called and spoke to the Ranger office. Brown Gap up to Gulf and Big Fill/Halls Top are all open. Wilkins Creek just south of the rest area on 40 is also open. The lady that I was talking to said that she was just up in the area a couple days ago and said there’s a couple fun spots along the way. (She owns a Jeep, so take it for what it’s worth)

Yep! She didn't elaborate as to why though or when they'd actually get out there to close them.

I haven't explored those areas so if you do I'd love to hear your thoughts or see some pics!
